Hello fabulous #youngmommies! Lately my little 2yr old has been wanting to do everything he possibly can without my help. Everything from going to the potty, to brushing his teeth to buckling himself into his carseat. Everytime I try to help him he says "I got it mommie". So I'm starting to let him be a little independent with supervission. After all, it makes things a tad bit easier on me. So my advice to you other moms out there, let your child do it on their own. Always make sure that they can't hurt themselves of course. If everything is safe, save yourself some time and let them do it!
This blog is for young fabulous single mothers. For the young 20 somethings who are juggling school, work, personal life and the most important job of being a mother. With myself being a working 21 year old in college, with a 2 year old I know how hard it can be to juggle these things. I hope that by sharing my experiences along with some tips, other young moms can find it helpful or just enjoy knowing that they aren't alone in this situation.

How To Secure Quiet Alone Time During The Week
Everyday when my son and I get home from our long day of school and daycare, I immediately start cooking dinner. Cooking pre-planned meals are always key to a smooth evening. While cooking, have your little one do something that will keep them out of kitchen away from hot stoves and just out the way period. Have them sit down at the table and color or draw while eating a small snack. If you can see the living room from the kitchen, then have them sit down and watch their favorite movie or cartoon.
After dinner, you two should take a walk around the neighborhood/apartment complex or just play outside a little bit before the sun goes down. My son loves evening play time and it makes him tired. After playtime give them a good bubble bath with Johnson and Johnson lavender bed time wash. A bath will relax them as well as calm them for bed.Follow bath time with story time. Read some fun story books to them before you tuck them into bed.
You should always keep your evening flowing once you get home from your busy day. The goal is the get your child in bed by 9 pm. Having them in bed at a decent time allows us mommies to unwind alone and prepare for the next day. Use this time to chat on the phone with friends, do homework, watch your favorite TV show or take a relaxing bubble baths.
